Located on the outskirts of  Rye, East Sussex, our family-owned  dog-friendly café offers a warm and welcoming environment. Surrounded by charming scenery, our café is the perfect spot for you to relax and unwind. Whether you're stopping by for a hearty breakfast, a leisurely lunch, or a cosy afternoon tea, we strive to create a delightful experience for every visitor, including your furry companions.

We take pride in our dishes, featuring award winning sausages sourced from Sidley Village Butchers and free-range eggs from a nearby farm. Our Hazelnut and praline roast coffee beans are sourced from a local supplier, making them a delightful pairing with any of our homemade cakes or scones by Natalie.

Our Story

Natalie and Louis took the reins at Beryls in April 2025, seeking a career change. Natalie had been working in the family Land Rover workshop since she finished school, while Louis brought his expertise from his trade as a butcher.

As newcomers to the catering scene, their first weekend (Easter) was a true "baptism of fire," yet they quickly found their rhythm.

In August of that same year, Natalie and Louis celebrated their wedding.

This is a traditional family business, with Natalie and Louis managing the front of house. Jordan (Natalie's brother) and Karen (Louis's mother) handle most of the cooking, and Natasha (Natalie and Jordan's mother) takes care of the washing up and assists whenever needed.
